This year marks a major milestone for Compton Green — 100 years of real estate built on relationships, trust, and a strong connection to Melbourne’s Inner West.
Founded in 1926 by Thomas Compton and Edgar Green in Williamstown, Compton Green began as a small local agency with a big commitment to its community. Over the past century, we’ve grown into a leading independent agency, offering services across residential, commercial, industrial, and enterprise property — all while staying true to our core values of integrity, innovation, and people-first service.
What has defined us for 100 years isn’t just what we do, but how we do it.

Compton Green’s Managing Director Adrian Butera, who recently completed the Authentic Leadership program at Harvard Business School, says the secret to lasting 100 years is staying curious, embracing change, and always putting people first.
“We’ve never stood still — we’ve continually adapted to the world around us while keeping local relationships at the heart of everything,” says Butera.
As part of our centenary, we’ve refreshed our brand to reflect who we are today: confident, forward-thinking, and deeply rooted in our community.
